It’s wonderful to meet you!

My path as an artist and photographer organically led to my practice as a therapist. Through my work as a documentary photographer I found opportunities to teach photography to children in urban areas. I experienced the power of the creative process for connection, emotional expression, and exploring self-identity. I became passionate about teaching young people how they could use their own images and words to express who they are, and cultivate change in their communities.

At the same time I worked with an art therapist for my own personal growth and experienced first-hand the transformative power of art therapy. I went on to run a gallery, which fed my passion for art and working with other creatives to bring exhibits and installations to life.

I continue to build on these experiences as I expand my creative work to collaborative, multimedia performances, and collaborate with museum professionals on art therapy-informed, mindfulness programs and exhibits.
