Dana Keeton Art Therapy
An integrative mind-body approach rooted in trauma-informed art therapy
A welcoming, supportive space for unpacking your story, safely processing trauma, and exploring your creativity
I offer individual psychotherapy sessions for adults from an integrative mind-body perspective. Rooted in a trauma-informed approach, I incorporate art therapy, breath work, EMDR, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and somatic-based practices. I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life changes, relational difficulties, and trauma.
I believe the generative act of making art is healing, connecting, and promotes insight. I use the creative process and mind-body modalities in my therapy sessions to engage you in embodied, soulful work that invites connection with unconscious parts of self that are difficult to access through talk therapy alone.
I provide an accepting, creative and supportive space for clients to safely process challenges, build on strengths and learn new skills to empower personal growth.
Hi! I’m Dana
I am an artist, board certified art therapist, and licensed mental health counselor with 17 years of experience working with a variety of populations.
My approach to psychotherapy is client-centered, strength-based and trauma-informed, and above all, holistic. I believe in meeting clients where they are to accompany them on their journey to increase overall wellness in body, mind, and spirit.
I continue to seek out training and new modes of learning in the realm of mind-body practices, mindfulness, and evidence-based trauma treatments, as well as deepen my own artistic practice. My work as an artist and therapist continues to inform and enrich both practices.

“There is a creative force within us all. Tapping into it is a counterbalance to early wounds, loss, and trauma, and helps us connect to the unconscious to gain a better understanding of ourselves and patterns that are causing pain and challenge in our lives.”
